Obama will remain in Washington after he leaves office
to see to it that Trump’s Make America Great Again effort does not un-transform
the America that eight years of effort on Obama’s part to “fundamentally transform
America” has caused.
But I fear Barry’s magic and influence will begin to
evaporate as Trump’s ideas are implemented and prove to be good for America,
which will make Obama more than a little irrelevant. Oh, we’ll occasionally see
and hear from him as he rails against Trump and proclaims the end of America
with the undoing of Obamacare, the securing of our borders and the deportation of
illegal bad guys, but his words will only be vapor, and his old, failed
policies will go away, mostly silently.
And don’t think that the press will desert Obama. They’ll
still sing his praises, swoon at the mention of his name and worship at his press
meetings, and in the process they will seal their own doom, because Trump’s tweeting
allows him to by-pass the lying, liberal press. Just notice how insignificant
Obama already is with the everyday, all day long press concentration on Donald Trump
and his transition process, and who is entering the elevators at Trump Towers,
and who is rumored to be talking with Trump over lunch.
All this, and Trump is not even president yet.
Bye, bye Barry.
